TBH , I ca n’t keepquietabout this one . 👀 🤫

Summer is almost upon us, which, if you’re a logical, patient person like me, you know that means that it’sbasicallyHalloween. Not like I’m counting or anything, but we’re officially 147 days away from the best, spookiest day of the year. And I, personally, will be holding on to that fact as I try not to melt in this June heat.

Speaking of Halloween, Universal Studios is giving us spooky enthusiasts something to look forward to this year: a new Halloween Horror Nights haunted house!

If you’re anything like me, you love a good haunted house. In fact, last yearI tried and ranked every single maze at Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood, so you could say I know a thing or two about them. They’ve had some downright horrifying (and, honestly, stunning) additions these last few years inspired by some beloved TV shows and movies, likeStranger ThingsandThe Last of Us. That being said, I think they’ve got a realllll creepy one on their hands for this upcoming spooky season.

So, without further ado, the new haunted house they’ll have at Halloween Horror Nights 2024 is…(drumroll, please)…

A QUIET PLACE!

The haunted house will take inspiration from bothA Quiet PlaceandA Quiet Place Part II, but not its upcoming prequel,A Quiet Place: Day One. The maze will take its victims — I mean, uh,travelers —through the Abbott family’s farmhouse shelter and right into the root cellar where Evelyn gave birth…and where, perhaps, a Death Angel was closing in on her.

Utilizing the same eerie silence and mounting suspense as the films, the Horror Nights maze will also be predominantly silent, utilizing American Sign Language and “unique sound design, special effects, and the adept performances of the scare actors to convey the ominous sense of dread depicted in the films,” per a press release. So, better hope you don’t scream! Because if you do…theywillhunt you.

In addition toA Quiet Place, fans can expect several more brand-new haunted houses to be announced within the coming months, with 8 total in Hollywood and 10 total in Orlando. Any guesses what those might be?

Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights begins Friday, Aug. 30, at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, Sept. 5, at Universal Studios Hollywood. Tickets for bothOrlandoandHollywoodare available now…if you think you’re brave enough.
