It was all happening in London this weekend .
For context, Taylor’s Eras Tour officially arrived in London last week. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, she played sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium, garnering the attendance of awhole host of A-list starsand thousands of fans.
However, she wasn’t the only big name performing in London at the weekend. Over on the other side of the city, Dave played London Stadium with his band, Foo Fighters.
In case you missed it, during Foo Fighters’ show on Saturday, Dave — one of the most iconic figures in mainstream rock music — appeared totake a jabat Taylor by suggesting that she doesn’t perform live.
“So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour,’” the formerNirvanaband member said, poking fun at the name of Taylor’s tour. “We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few fucking errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live.”
Notably, many people highlighted that Dave had previously praised Taylor. In fact, while playing atBBC Radio 1’s Big Weekendin 2015, he even dedicated a song to her, telling the crowd at the festival: “I’m officially obsessed.”
And now, only a day later, it seems like Taylor’s had her say. During Night 3 at Wembley yesterday, the singer took a moment to thank the audience and pay tribute to her band after the combinedFolklore-Evermoresection of the show.
“Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band — who’s gonna be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight — they deserve this so much,” she can be heard sayingin videosfrom the concert.
