Iknowyou all have some derisory story to tell .

If you’re a wealthy parent, in a lot of ways you have it made. You have a beautiful house, a good job (or a spouse who has one), and great kids. The thing is, once your kids get to school age, another variable enters your life:other parents.

Odd parents are everywhere, of course — but in communities that are well-off enough for parents with free time to be as involved as they want to be in their kids' lives, things may hit a little differently. So, if you’re a parent in an upper-class, tight-knit community, dotell: what’s the wildest thing you’ve ever seen another parent do?

Maybe you’veactuallywitnessed a mom or dad march into the school and demand that the teacher cast their kid as the lead in the play. Orrr, maybe you’ve witnessed a different moment of total entitlement; what was it?

Perhaps your child came home from school or from hanging with friends one day and told you about something totally out of pocket that someone else’s parents did.

Maybe it’s something like buying their teenager a new sports car, dressing their middle schooler in designer clothes, or getting a tutor for their 5-year-old to get into kindergarten.

Or maybe you’ve been out to coffee or at an event with other parents in town and listened to one of them complain about somethingtotallyout of touch. Please relay it here for the rest of us to enjoy.
