The star of " The Kardashians " and the latest season of " American Horror Story " is joining actors like Robert Downey Jr. , Jodie Foster , Quinta Brunson , and Elizabeth Debicki for Variety ’s much - anticipated interview serial .

This year’s lineup includes delightful pairings likeThe CrownactorsEmma CorrinandElizabeth Debicki, who both playedPrincess Dianain the series.

They paired emerging talent like the English dreamboats Leo Woodall (One Day) and Nicholas Galitzine (Mary & George).

There’s even seasoned talent like Academy Award winners Jodie Foster (True Detective: Night Country) and Robert Downey Jr. (The Sympathizer).

But, the pairing that has folks confused or upset is Chloë Sevigny and Kim Kardashian. Both recently starred in Ryan Murphy’s projectsFeud: Capote Vs. The SwansandAmerican Horror Story: Delicate.

Aside from starring in Ryan Murphy anthologies, Chloë has sustained an acting career from ’90s cult classicKidsto her Golden Globe Award-winning performance in the HBO seriesBig Love.

As for Kim, she’s one of the biggest reality TV stars and celebrity moguls, but her acting credits are just a few minor roles (and her cameos aren’t that long).

When Variety announced that Kim would be sitting across from Chloë, the internet had a lot of feelings about the pairing. Here’s what they’re saying:

Why are they letting Kim Kardashian pay her style into whatever she wants ? deadened women ’s clothes , performances of The Lion King , Actors on player — she ’s not even an interesting to mortal to want to marvel at the spectacle , she ’s BORING . Bring back ostracize people
