TheFifty Shadesmovie franchise might be over, but Jamie Dornan andDakota Johnson’s friendship seemingly isn’t.
As I’m sure you’ll know, Jamie and Dakota famously starred as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in theFifty Shadesfilm series based on the books by E. L. James.
In the past, Dakota has talked candidly about “disagreements” that took place on set. And though she never said anything negative about her costar, there was a lot of speculation that she and Jamiesecretly didn’t get onwhile filming was underway.
In 2022, Dakota directlyrefuted thisnarrative, tellingVanity Fair: “There was never a time when we didn’t get along.”
And now, more than six years since the lastFifty Shadesmovie came out, it sounds like Jamie and Dakota are still as friendly as ever.
On the red carpet at theInto Film Awardslast week, Jamie was asked if he and his former costar still kept in touch, prompting him to reveal that they had recently been texting each other.
“I was just texting with her a couple days ago,” he toldMetro. “I think she’s London bound a wee bit over the next few weeks, so trying to see her and Chris for dinner.”
Sounds like aFifty Shadescostar reunion could be in the cards!
