In the same interview, Nicola explained what happened with the carriage scene in the previous part of the season. “It was filmed on a sound stage in an enclosed carriage,” she began. “We were waiting for the director to call cut when we went to Bridgerton House.”
“The director is known for wanting multiple options of stuff, so we just went with it,” Luke said, with Nicola adding that she eventually decided to end the scene after what felt like “ages” of kissing.
“Then there was silence. Andrew [Ahn], the director, came to the window and went, ‘What were you doing? I was shoutingstop! Stop!'” Nicola recalled. “We, hand to god, did not hear him.”
