They reunited a few years later in 2008 for the filmFool’s Gold.
Now, Kate is setting the record for a rumor that has to do with Matthew on theFool’s Goldset.
Kate appeared onWatch What Happens Live with Andy Cohenon Wednesday, where Andy asked her a very specific fan question.
“Was that old urban legend true that you forced Matthew McConaughey to wear deodorant while filmingFool’s Gold?” Andy asked while reading from a cue card.
Kate’s response was immediate.
“No,” she said.
“No, he doesn’t wear deodorant,” she continued before clarifying her own hygiene habits.
“And by the way, I don’t either,” she said.
“My thing was I could smell him from a mile…because we were so close,” she said. “We’re au naturals.”
Well, there you have it. This wasn’t Kate’s only revelation about herself and Matthew.
She also told Andy that they’re both up for starring in aHow to Lose a Guy in 10 Dayssequel, but one thing has to happen first.
“All that matters would be the script and if Matthew and I were into the script,” she said. “I think we’re both totally open, but it just never has happened.”
