That’s right, Daenerys Targaryen herself has no interest in watching the hitGoTspin-off — but, let’s be clear, there’s no hard feelings involved.
First, let’s go back to January of last year, when Emilia toldVarietythat she had no plans to watchHotDany time soon. “I just can’t do it. It’s so weird. It’s so strange,” shesaid.
“It’s kind of like someone saying, ‘You want to go to this school reunion that’s not your year? Want to go to that school reunion?’ That’s how it feels. I’m avoiding it."
Guess again.
In a new interview withPeople, Emilia told the publication that she “still can’t” watch the prequel to the show that made her a household name.
“I just don’t know what it is,” she said. “I feel so content and happy with what my experience was, that I think watching the new one would just feel so odd, I think.”
Don’t worry, though, because it’s all love in the end. “I really do fully support the entire thing and everyone who’s made it, and it’s beautiful how successful it’s been,” she says. “It’s absolutely amazing.”
