" Canada ’s reputation as ' favorable ' is misplaced . " Those are fighting words !
Reddit useru/The_Gaming_Mattasked the Canadian community: “What’s one thing you think the USA does BETTER then Canada?”
They continue , " We as Canadians love to mock , mess with & laugh at the US for it ’s many flaws , however , what ’s at least one thing you could say that they do easily then us here in Canada ? " . permit ’s see what everyone think …
1.“I’ll start,” the OP themself said. “Animal/pet protection, they take it WAY more seriously and the sentences for animal abuse are way stricter and I admire that.
2.“Was gonna say this. US rest stops are beauties. Nice park areas. Nice clean facilities. In Canada I’d have to be pretty desperate to take a crap in one of those rest stop bathrooms”
3.“We have some excellent museums in Canada, but American ones are just on another level. I remember how impressed I was with a relatively little known naval and military park in Buffalo. Americans do an amazing job at preserving and showing their history and heritage.”

4.“Cost of cell phone services and data plans. Canada is among the highest in the world for data plan costs.”
5.“Mexican food.”

6.“I hesitate to say this with all the crap I’ve seen go down with airlines in the USA but at least they have competition. It’s cheaper for me to go to Europe than the other side of the country!”
7.“Parks! Their national park system is great, and they have lots of them. Our national parks are also good, but not to the same level as the American system.”

8.“ADA – theAmericans with Disabilities Act. It mandates that EVERYTHING must be accessible. Including TV/movie captions which is super helpful for me as a deaf Canadian living in the US.”

" My papa ’s in a wheelchair and he ’s also had a much practiced experience dwell in the state because of the ADA . Accessibility in Canada is amazingly unspeakable . "

9.“Job opportunities, absolutely. My career is far more robust in Massachusetts than I ever had experienced in all my decades in Vancouver.”
10.“They make better tv shows and movies.”
11.“Barbeque.”

12.“Tourism! Canada just can’t seem to get the tourism they get in the US. Especially small towns, they tend to cater to tourism and encourage it. In Canada, it’s hard to find a restaurant that’s open in those small ‘tourist’ towns.”

13.“Road trips through the US are amazing because of the interstate system. The rest stops along the way are great too. Driving across Canada is extremely painful. Because the Trans Canada highway is cobbled together from existing roads, you find yourself traveling 90km an hour on a one lane road - fingers crossed there’s no road work going on.”
14.“Interstate sales. It’s easier to get wine from California in Ontario then from BC.”
— u / StevenCC82
15.“Their fast food is still cheap, unlike ours.”
16.“Innovation. The Americans have a much more advanced and knowledgeable economy than we do.”
— u / anypomonos
17.“Tailgating. College football pre-game is next level.”
18.“Way more social. Canada is an anti-social country and very hard to meet friends/relationships. I was down in America on vacation, and I was blown away how easy it was to make friends and meet girls.”
— u / SirEatsSteakAlot
" Canadian ’s reputation as ' friendly ' is misplaced . After living a while in both countries ( bear / raised in Canada ) , imo Canadians are more ' genteel ' while Americans are more ' friendly . ' "
— u / Straight_Back9494
19.“Business competitiveness. Most Canadian companies can’t compete with American ones: they’re more comfortable with risk andinvest far moreto unlockbetter productivity from workers. It’s one of the big reasons why they earn more than us.”
20.“Postal service. In the US, I could set a clock to when I could expect them, and we had Saturday service. Since moving to Canada I truly have no idea when my mail will be delivered.”
— uracil / osusquehanna
21.“Customer service is far better in the US than Canada. Also, positive attitudes in general are more prevalent in the US. Canadians, generally speaking, have far more of a crabs-in-a-bucket culture than Americans.”
