The singer came out on Instagram:

Congrats to Maren, and in celebration of this occasion, let’s look at other celebs who have been openly bi for what seems like forever:

1.Billie Joe Armstrongfrom Green Day came out as bisexual in 1995.

Hetoldthe Advocate, “I think I’ve always been bisexual. I mean, it’s something that I’ve always been interested in. I think people are born bisexual, and it’s just that our parents and society kind of veer us off into this feeling of ‘Oh, I can’t.’ They say it’s taboo.”

“It’s ingrained in our heads that it’s bad, when it’s not bad at all. It’s a very beautiful thing.”

2.Bai Ling talked about being bi in 2008.

Shetold GLAAD, “My name is pronounced ‘bi,’ so when I was asked, ‘Are you bi?’ I said, ‘Yes, I am Bai.’ Do you like men? ‘Of course!’ Do you like women? ‘Why yes!’ And later I found out what that means and I said, ‘Sure, I am bi!'”

3.Björk has been talking about being bisexual since the early 2000s

Allan actuallyhas an FAQ sectionon his website. When asked how he explains bisexuality, he says: “I’m not here to change people’s minds about whether they believe in bisexuality. All I’m saying is that I think my sexuality and most people’s sexuality is gray. I am married to a man. I have a healthy sexual appetite and a healthy imagination. I also have an attraction to women. I’ve never lost it, actually.”

9.Lady Gaga has also always been open about her bisexuality.

12.Anna Paquincame outas bisexual in 2010.

When asked about people misunderstanding her sexuality after she married a man, Anna told theGuardian: “People understand the version of the world they live in, and if it’s outside their experience, then sometimes it frightens people, or they just don’t get it. And that’s fine.”

13.And lastly, Michelle Rodriguez publicly came out as bisexual in 2013.
